Caution should be taken when driving to Troodos due to the heavy snow fall the past 24 hours. According to a police report this morning the road Pedoulas – Pinewood – Kakopetria, is open only for 4×4 vehicles or vehicles equipped with snow chains. The roads Platania – Karvounas, Pedoulas – Pedoulas and Prodromos – Kampos – Kykkos are open to all vehicles but are extremely slippery. Drivers are requested to be especially careful, driving at low speeds, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead and have the headlights of the vehicle on. The Cyprus Police page and social media outlets will be offering frequent updates on the conditions.
