According to the Electricity Authority of Cyprus unions, it’s been decided that tomorrow they are not planning to cut electricity supply. Tomorrow the House of Representatives will convene to vote for the bill for the privatizations. According to union representatives the decision for uninterrupted power, is a gesture to allow the state to operate smoothly without interruptions and not to give the impression that they hijacked the system. In the meantime offices and customer service centres will remain closed and in the afternoon during the vote, employees will demonstrate outside the House. Strike will also continue for CYTA employees without any service interruptions.
Should we feel grateful that we will have uninterrupted electricity supply tomorrow?
