According to statistics released today by Pingdom, Cyprus has the largest number of Facebook users in proportion to its population compared to any other country in the world. Facebook currently has 800 million registered users which reflects to 11% of the world population. For Cyprus though 95% of Internet users also own a Facebook account which constitutes 69% of its population. Cyprus if followed by Hong Kong with 53% of its population touched by Facebook and surprisingly United States and United Kingdom are ranking 7th and 9th respectively.
