At a time when the government is trying to cut down on expenses in any possible way, every year the police prints 800 000 photos at a cost of 50 cent each that are being used as evidence in courts. In comparison, French police only prints around 300 000 photos per year. Topic was brought up by the police as a suggestion to the parliament when digital photography became widespread but the parliament failed to update the judicial laws to allow the use of digital photos on projector screen as evidence. The police hopes that the new parliament will solve this issue.
