The police believes that a kidnapping was prevented yesterday evening. Members of the Mobile Immediate Action Unit (MMAD) following a lead, stopped a car with 3 passengers in the highway near Kofinou. The passengers (one Turk, one Palestinian and one Jordanian) had entered the government controlled areas and were heading to Limassol in order to kidnap a Jordanian resident. In the car they found a fake gun, handcuffs, duct tape and pepper spray. They were all arrested and are being interrogated by the police.
